MediaTek is yet to announce any phone makers that will. It will have octa-core CPU, Mali G72 MP4 GPU, and Category 13 LTE modem. The Realme U1 comes in Ambitious Black, Brave Blue and Fiery Gold. The Helio P70 is expected to be built on the 12nm process by TSMC. Other goodies include an FM radio receiver, dual VoLTE, support for India in the ORoaming app, offline text scanning and translation between Hindi and English. Realme is clinging to the dead port, but at least it kept the 3.5mm jack as well. The phone supports standard 10W charging over microUSB. The 12nm chipset features a revamped resource allocation system that keeps usage power and temperature in check. Realme U1 on the left, Realme 2 Pro on the right The phone launches with Color OS 5.2 (based on Android 8.1 Oreo). For improved multitasking, there are Sidebars that offer quick access to key apps. The P70 chipset promises a steady 60fps in games thanks to gaming optimizations by Realme. There’s a dedicated microSD card slot for memory expansion (along with a dual nano SIM slot). The U1 will come in two configurations: 3/32GB and 4/64GB. The chipset features four big Cortex-A73 cores (plus for A53), along with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. With it the cameras can render depth of field in real time as well as do HDR and multi-frame noise reduction. The Realme U1 is the first phone to use the new Helio P70 chipset, which has faster image processing hardware. Unfortunately, 4K video capture is not supported, not even 1080p/60fps. Mali-G72 MP3 falls short when compared with the Adreno 512 and Adreno 509 of Snapdragon 660 and 636 respectively. However, once again, the GPU is the downside of this series. The advantages of acrylic are that it’s less prone to shattering and is lighter than glass.Īnyway, also on the back is a 13+2MP dual camera, like the one featured on the Realme 2. The Helio P60 and P70 are two really powerful chipsets that provide a lot more value for money than any of their competitors. The screen is guarded by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 while the back is made of acrylic with a special coating to make it look like glass. The top bezel measures 2.05mm, the side ones are just 1.7mm. The new Realme series will launch with the latest P70 chipset by the end of November or early December. New Realme Smartphones Powered By Helio P70: Realme 3 Or New Series? The ISPs will help to induce long-lasting battery and reduced power consumption. The new Helio P70 can clock up to two cameras with 24+16 megapixel dual sensors with three image signal processors. It can speed up to 900MHz with around 13 percent better performance compared to the previous P60. The four cores clock at up to 2.1GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocking up to 2.0GHz. The new chipset is built on the same 12nm. That said, things haven’t changed that much from the P60. MediaTek Helio P60 vs MediaTek Helio P70: Better Than Predecessor?Ĭoming to the newly launched MediaTek Helio P70 chipset, it features four ARM Cortex-A73 cores. The Helio P70 promises a 10-30 boost in AI tasks and a 13 improvement on general tasks. The new Helio P70 is efficient enough with edge-AI processing and better battery management. The predecessor Helio P60 has been a fine mid-range chipset powering a number of smartphones like Oppo F9 Pro and Realme 1. The chipset will available by next month in the country. The SoC has a multi-core APU stacking up to 525MHz. The chipset company launched its latest MediaTek Helio chipset Helio P70 based on TSMC’s 12nm FinFET technology.
